an honest note about the words
the Commons Clause is an extra condition layered on top of Apache 2.0. Because of it, guvercin is source-available rather than OSI-approved open source. We use the phrase “open source” on this site in its everyday sense — the source is public and you can build it yourself — and we would rather say this plainly here than bury it.
